FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplantation technique, known as one of the techniques with a high success rate in hair transplantation since 2004, is known as the most common hair transplantation technique in the world, applied to people who have reached advanced stages in hair loss. FUE hair transplant operation is the process of placing the roots in the opened channels after the strong roots taken from the nape (donor) area are channeled to the areas where the hair is shed.
What are the stages of FUE hair transplantation?
Before starting the FUE hair transplant procedure, the nape (donor) area and the entire head are shaved 1-2 mm short. After shaving, the front line line is created. Painless local anesthesia is applied to both the forehead area and the hair transplantation area so that our patient does not feel pain during the entire procedure.
Gathering Roots
In the FUE hair transplantation technique, hair follicles are taken one by one from the area between the two ears by using micro-motor devices with a cylindrical punch at the tip during the extraction phase. Roots are not removed side by side, but by skipping a few follicles in between. (1 of every 4 follicles is taken). The collection of hair follicles is done by using tweezers-like surgical tools that we call forceps. This process takes 2-3 hours.
Channel Opening process
The grooving process is the process of making small incisions on the skin with a sapphire tip in order to transplant the roots collected from the nape (donor) area to the area to be transplanted. In this context, the advantage of Sapphire Fue is that, without damaging the tissue, less bleeding during the procedure, opening the channels more precisely so that there are no scars afterwards, and reducing the healing time to a shorter time. The size of the opened channels is less, and it is aimed to minimize the possibility of dislocation of the transplanted grafts. Channel opening process takes 2.5-3 hours.
Hair transplantation process
It is the process of placing the collected roots one by one into the opened channels. Depending on the donor area and span of the patient, a minimum of 3000- a maximum of 6000 roots can be transplanted in a single session in the FUE hair transplant technique.
What are the advantages of FUE Hair Transplantation technique?
In the Fue (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique, the operation is performed without a scalpel or suture. Which means that there is no scar after sowing.
Technically, it can be applied to both men and women.
With the painless anesthesia device, local anesthesia is applied and the feeling of pain is completely eliminated.
During the operation, you can watch TV with tea, have a snack and chat.
Sedation can also be given at the request of the patient, and you can be asleep during the entire procedure.
Recovery time in Fue hair transplantation technique is very short (10 days), you can return to your daily routine immediately after the operation.
However, the advice of doctors is to rest at home for 3-4 days, consume plenty of water, and avoid consuming salty foods, especially, until the edema that occurs after the operation is removed from the body.
Even in patients with maximum hair loss, maximum root can be transplanted. (3000-6000 grafts.)
If the donor area (nape) does not meet the number of roots needed, reinforcement can also be made under the chest, arm and beard of the person. Roots taken from these regions are only used to tighten the crown.
While creating the front line line before the operation, a more natural look can be obtained when your hair grows by drawing a drawing closest to the natural from where the forehead muscle ends.
After the operation, there is absolutely no loss of sensation in the donor areas.
Patients coming from abroad and from outside the city are required to stay in Istanbul for only 2 nights.
